Epitheliome 2014

April 26th, 2014

April 22-25th: The first international workshop on insect epithelia, organized by Professor Shireen Davies, Professor Julian Dow and Professor Shoichiro Kurata, is held at the University of Glasgow, UK.  "Epithelial function is critical to insect survival and understanding mechanisms of control of epithelial function may provide new clues and avenues for control of deleterious insects, both for disease control in humans and livestock, and for plant pest control. This meeting has key relevance for Food Security, and will explore cutting edge advances in the physiology and function of insect epithelia."

In addition to two days of presentations and discussion, we enjoyed a trip to Loch Lomond.
