Xiangfeng and Angela attend the 2013 Annual Meeting of the Entomological Society of America in Austin, TX 10-13 November). 

Xiangfeng presented his USDA-funded research on the genes in phloem-feeding insects that regulate sugar relations and protect the insects from dehydrating.  

Angela presented recent lab research on the Drosophila gut microbiota and aphid-Buchnera symbiosis.  Spence Behmer, Que Lan and Angela co-organized the symposium on Insect Lipid Physiology: From the Cell to the Whole Organism.  Our thanks to our colleagues who presented their research on insect lipids.
